Dendrobium amabile has always been an absolute favorite of ours with bright pink to white flowers and a yellow throat patch which leads to one of its common names being the "fried egg" orchid. This species is known for its sheer floriferousness! These plants can get up to fifty flowers per inflorescence and awarded specimens have gotten up to 1,500 flowers and buds at one time! These always go quickly in bud or flower, and we sell out of the bigger plants every season. This species in the Callista or Densiflora section comes from Hainan and Vietnam, and can be differentiated from Den. farmeri by the round mature canes and the taller growing habit. These plants are near blooming size in 3" pots.
