SHIPPING METHODS
Krull-Smith will choose the safest and most economical method of shipment, giving consideration to weather, distance, and order size. To help ensure safe arrival, orders must be placed by Thursday to be shipped the following week in order to allow ample time for your plants to reach their destination before the weekend. Orders received on Friday or afterwards will be pulled the following Thursday. Plants will be sent with a heat pack when appropriate, but we will not ship when night-time lows are below 39 degrees for more sensitive species and 32 degrees for hardier species unless requested by the buyer in which case we will not be able to guarantee the plants against cold damage.
To help ensure that the plants we ship aren't held at a distribution center over the weekend, we tend to ship orders for the west side of the country on Mondays and Tuesdays, orders for the eastern part of the country tend to ship out on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Florida orders ship out on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Shipping and Handling Costs
Shipping and handling costs are charged at the rate of 20% of the value of the order, with $20.00 being the minimum shipping charge.
Plant shipments to Puerto Rico and Hawaii require a phytosanitary certificate. This can take up to a week or longer to obtain. The cost for a phytosanitary certificate is $55.00 with the USDA. You may order the required Phytosanitary Certificate here.
Florida orders are subject to 6.5% Florida state sales tax.
