Cattleya dowiana is among the most famous species of Cattleya in the world with its large and intricately veined lip along with its strong fragrance. This species is the only large-flowered yellow Cattleya species in existence and was used extensively in breeding - particularly for creating large and showy lips. 

These seedlings have been treated to induce polyploidy to hopefully create larger, more intensely colored flowers with flatter, fuller form. Plants are well established in 3" pots. Be sure to give this species a dry rest after flowering until new roots emerge.
