Cattleya walkeriana is always a favorite in many collections! This is a compact growing, brightly colored, and highly fragrant species from Brazil that can bloom throughout the year, but blooms primarily in the winter or early spring. Cattleya walkeriana does not bloom from the leaf axil like most Cattleya and will instead bloom directly from a growth stemming from the rhizome. Often times what may look like a new growth is actually a flower emerging! A number of these plants have already bloomed and have given us full, flat flowers with bright pink/magenta sepals and petals and a dark magenta lip. Plants are flowering sized in 6" pots.
