Catasetum Tommy Bednar is a new primary hybrid that is showing a lot of potential! The Ctsm. vinaceum parent used here is a particularly dark red cultivar and Ctsm. ivaneae is a spectacular species with long clusters of flowers with dark purple lips! The cross between these two should produce some fantastic hybrids with nearly black lips and dark red petals and sepals with the potential for purple flowers as well! Plants are flowering size in 3" pots.
