Cattleya Small World x Bc. Richard Mueller
Cattleya Small World (Cattleya aclandiae × Cattleya luteola) is a fantastic primary Cattleya hybrid with a compact growth habit that can flower multiple times per year. When crossed on Brassavola types, this hybrid tends to significantly improve the Brassavola form and leads to larger, showier lips. Bc. Richard Mueller (Brassavola nodosa × Cattleya milleri) is one of the most widely used Brassavola hybrids for its compact growth habit, bright colors, and floriferous nature.
We expect this hybrid to give us flowers that open orange and change to yellow after being open for a few days. The lips should be broad with deep burgundy spots for fantastic contrast. These will also be able to handle lower light levels than most Brassavola hybrids thanks to the C. luteola background. Plants are flowering size in 3" pots.
