Bulbophyllum echinolabium is undoubtedly one of the most impressive flowers in the entire orchid world with the smallest flowers being able to get 10" tall and the largest reaching up to 20" tall for a single flower! Although infamous for its smell, it puts on a show with this wonderful species being a sequential bloomer which means it can continue flowering on the same inflorescence for months or even years! The deep red lip is mobile and waits for a pollinator to get just close enough to the pollen before it swivels back and holds the pollinator against the pollen to ensure it will carry the pollen to the next flower. This group of seedlings was bred for fuller and larger flowers with 'Crystelle' FCC/AOS being the fullest and flattest we have seen and 'Krull's Biggie being the tallest we have seen! Plants are near flowering size in 3" pots - some may flower this summer.
