Catasetum tigrinum x Orchidglade
This new hybrid is bringing out some fantastic qualities of both parents. Ctsm. tigrinum is a smaller flowered species with a high flower count and the ability to flower multiple times per year. Very importantly, in this cross, it is used to make larger and fuller petals that helps to fill in the form. Ctsm. Orchidglade brings in the overall large flower size, but especially the larger lip that can make this a very well-balanced flower. We expect white/cream backgrounds with varying levels of red/burgundy spotting. the spots can be tiny and almost imperceptible, or they can be massive and make nearly the whole flower red! Plants are flowering size in 3" pots.
